Little Bud Preschool had its humble beginning prompted by a famous quote from a long-time Christ Lutheran Church member who said, “Let’s make the preschool a little bud for our church’s outreach to others.” And thus, Little Bud Preschool sprang to life in God’s love for His children. Since that seed was fist sown in 1998, we have, with the Holy Spirit’s guidance, nurtured 387 preschoolers representing 200 families from outside our church’s congregation.

Such a successful ministry demands the time and attention of a dedicated and loving staff. In its early stages, the entire Little Bud staff consisted of two teachers caring for 21 children over a week’s time. However, we now have seven staff members who teach 64 children every week.

Our physical facilities have also grown with the number of children attending. We now use the entire educational wing for preschool classrooms, as well as the new Multi-Purpose room for inside and “large muscle” play. Our outside play yard is well situated in a very safe and natural setting on the back lot where children can do what comes naturally – enjoy God’s creation!

Some annual traditions of the Little Bud Preschool are the end-of-the-year Parent/Grandparent Luncheon, which serves about 150 people each year. It is our way of saying “thanks” to the great families who attend and support Little Bud. We also hold an annual Spaghetti Dinner, which has become our most successful fundraiser, serving about 400 people with entertainment “Little Bud” style.

Little Bud Preschool is an evangelic arm of Christ Lutheran Church. We give thanks to the Lord for His abundant work through our congregation for Little Bud Preschool, and pray that He will continue to mercifully lead His children to a faith in Christ founded in the love they learn through this ministry.
